John opened Comic Book Ink as a result of his life-long dream to own a comic book shop. He also has a life-long passion for the theatre; which he is active in as both an actor and a director. He has also crafted some of his stories into screenplays. One of which, MIND GAMES, has made it into the quarterfinals of the Los Angeles Screenwriter's Expo.
ALEX HENSHAW

Alex worked as a para-educatior before joining the Staff of Comic Book Ink in October of 2003. He's been reading comics since the mid-eighties with a break during the late nineties. Since then, his tastes have grown from just Marvel & DC Titles to include many independents, manga an ever-increasing list of web comics.
JOSH INMAN
Gaming Specialist
A long-time customer of Comic Book Ink, Josh decided to pursue his dream of working in the comic book industry and joined the staff in the summer of 2008. He has brought with him more than 10 years of experience in retail and management to the store. A life long fan of the Avengers, and a child of the 90s boom, he stopped reading for several years until he was introduced to INVINCIBLE and THE WALKING DEAD. These two titles reinvigorated his passion for comics...from independent to Marvel and more. He currently a creator working for local independent publish CREATOR'S EDGE PRESS.
CARMEN MELENDEZ
Toy / Back Issue Specialist
Carmen came to us as a former Manager for the Suncoast Motion Picture Company in 2010. Which sounds cool (which it is) but it means she sold movies...not made them. Carmen loves: Movies (including the bad ones...and espcially horror films), Bacon, Dark Shadows, Venture Brothers and swooning.Little known facts: Harley Quinn Impersonator and Professional Stalker. She is allergic to everything and could bruise herself walking into a strong wind.

After 25 years as a Clinical Lab Scientist in Immunology, and 10 years as a food supplement broker and natural health-care consultant, Bill Dargan foresook the medical field for a dream job in grading and appraising comics. In 2003, came to us from O'Leary's Comics & Books and brought with him 30+ years of comics experience. Bill, along with Ron Trimble, laid the foundations of the modern 10-Point Grading System.
